Can I derate or prorate my trailers GVWR?
Yes, you can! Prior to registration by contacting your purchasing dealer.

RERATING GUIDELINES
Can a used vehicle (trailer) be rerated?· No. Certification and ratings assignment apply only to newly built trailers. Once a trailer has been licensed and titled by an owner in any given U.S. state or sold and delivered to a purchaser at the first retail level in a Canadian province or territory, the certification obligation ends, along with assignment of ratings.

What are the maximum rerate limits for an Iron Bull or Norstar trailer?· Maximum derate amount: 30% of overall GAWR· Maximum prorate amount: 20% of overall GAWR· These amounts may not be possible on all trailers depending on the limits of components on your trailer. If the trailer has a 15k bumper pull coupler, we would bot be able to prorate higher than that without upgrading the coupler and/or other components.

Can axles be added to increase GVWR?· This would be determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the build of each specific trailer. However, if the trailer has been registered in your state, we cannot issue a new title or sticker reflecting the increased GVWR.

How much weight can I put on my Rampage Ramps?
Our Rampage Ramps are ready to work as hard as your trailer! The rampage ramps will always be rated for the same capacity as the trailer's payload. Please keep in mind the proper loading techniques found in your Norstar Owners Manual
How much weight can I put on my drive-over fenders?
The drive-over fenders are built to meet the payload of your trailer when the weight is evenly distributed.
Where is the VIN tag on my trailer?
Each Iron Bull or Norstar Trailer has a VIN tag that is placed on the driver's side of the trailer.  On a Gooseneck trailer, it is inside of the riser. On a bumper pull trailer, it is on the lower subframe behind the tongue.

What fluid goes in my hydraulic pump?
We use an AW32 hydraulic fluid in our pumps.
How do I submit a warranty claim?
While we are confident that you will not have any issues, if you do simply reach out to your purchasing dealer location and they can help assist you in opening a claim. If you have any issues submitting a claim please email us at customerservice@norstarcompany.com and a customer service representative can walk you through it.
How much can my trailer tow?
The trailer's max payload is printed on the 'Tire and Loading sticker' that is placed on the trailer.
Where is my owner’s manual?
Norstar is going green and all owners manuals have been moved online. You simply scan the QR code on your trailer and it will take you to http://norstarwarranty.com/.
How do I use my Roadside Assistance Benefits?
Call our toll-free 24/7 dispatch line at 888-399-0327.  A service provider will assist in locating a service provider. Or save your reciepts and we will reimburse you. If you have any questions please click here.
What color options do your trailers have?
We currently powercoat our trailers in Black, Ranch Grey and Tan. Tan is only on select models.
What gauge flooring does my trailer have?

Our webpage has all of the standard options listed by model for your convenience! Use the drop down navigation menu to select the model.

What adapter do I need for (specific truck)?

How much weight can a scissor hoist handle?
Our hoists are rated to support 21,000lbs! This means we use the same heavy duty material across several different sized dump trailer and you can trust your model will proudly support its GVWR.
